Future Events

Every month during the summer and one week in December we will be hosting a Market Place. This will be an opportunity for children to learn what it is like to be a real entrepreneurial. We will offer a workshop before the event to help children make a business plan, develop marketing materials, and learn how to run a booth. The day of the event we will provide a booth for each vendor and they will be able to sell their product and make some extra cash. Our goal for this project is for children to develop a confidence that they can be business owners and have an active part in their community.

All summer long we will have themed weeks for kids to come explore science and art activities. This will sure to keep your little ones busy and having a blast. Students will be creating something to take home, a learning activity, free play time in the museum, a snack and drink.

We will be offering field trips during the school year. These will be led by a Discovery Guide with specific educational goals and activities planned as well as free play in the museum. Groups will be able to reserve a specific two hour time slot for their trip.

We plan on holding regular special events throughout the year. Some of those events may be special guests from the community to share information for students as well as for parents. We hope to also have special events such as a Mother's Day Tea, Dad's Builder Workshop, Fire Safety Training from the Fire Department, Self Defense training, etc.
